Hello Nurze Programs
Hello Nurze's mission and founding program was to create a resource/website for families with medically complex children with the goal of expanding the reach of their in-home health nursing search to help them find more in-home nursing coverage. Very quickly the Hello Nurze team realized that the nonprofit focus, programs, and goals could be, and should be, so much more.
Our Core Programs
The Connection Hub
The Connection Hub, our largest program and founding mission, is a first of its kind resource created to help medically complex families connect with nurses in their own communities. We strongly believe that patients are more than their medical diagnosis, and that nurses benefit from knowing more about their clients before accepting a job. We allow families to create personalized profiles that promote their case and tell a full story about their child or loved one, including photos, preferences and other care needs. The Hub also empowers families and nurses during the matching process, with the goal of increasing compatibility and ultimately increasing family care coverage while decreasing nurse burnout.

Hospital Partnership Program
One of our most vital programs, The Hospital Partnership Program focuses on helping provide Hello Nurze Connection Kits to medically complex families in hospitals and care facilities as they search for home health nursing. The program is offered at no cost to the hospitals or families and currently includes over 27 of the top pediatric hospitals and care facilities throughout the nation.
.
Project Celebrate
A fan favorite program, Project Celebrate is a fun and meaningful program that distributes celebratory gifts to medically complex kids and caregivers. Executions vary from year to year but have included “Trach Awareness Week”, "Caregiver Appreciation Day", and “Trach or Treat” gifting.
.
State of Home Health Nursing Survey
Launched in 2023,The State of Home Health Nursing Survey focused on quantifying the impact the home health nursing shortages has on medically complex families. Survey data was presented at the 2024 American Thoracic Society Conference and has been reference by industry leaders like the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado.

The F.A.C.E.S. Project
The F.A.C.E.S. Project, a.k.a. Families Advocating for Care, Education, and Support of Pediatric Home Health Project, is a nationwide free resource designed for nursing schools. This initiative shares the powerful stories of medically complex families across the U.S., introducing nursing students to the world of pediatric home health through the lens of the families themselves. The goal of this easy to utilize resource is to encourage nursing programs to highlight this often-overlooked pediatric population.
By putting real faces to this segment of healthcare, Hello Nurze hopes to raise awareness among nursing students, encouraging them to explore and advocate for the needs of pediatric patients in home health settings.
