Hi! I’m Nicole, I’m looking for a child to provide temporary private duty nursing services to while my current client is admitted for a planned procedure​/​hospitalization for an estimated 2-4+ weeks. His admission date will be scheduled at a later date, but it’s looking like somewhere between mid August-end of September. I will be returning to my normal full time hours with him once he’s home after this planned admission until late spring​/​early summer (expected decannulation timeline) at which time I will be available for more regular daytime hours with a new client. I’ve worked as a private duty pediatric nurse for 7+ of my 9+years of being an RN, and have worked with over 10 different children from as young as 6 months to as old as 16 years. Some have only been for brief periods but others have been for 3+ years. Most of my patients have been trach​/​vent​/​gtube dependent and I’m familiar with different brands of equipment (trilogy and astral vents, kangaroo and infinity feeding pumps, etc). I’m also no stranger to strict​/​complex medication schedules! I’ve also attended school and various therapy sessions with most of my kids and love being a part of their team. I’ve pretty much seen a little bit of everything but am always ready to learn more because I know each kid is truly different and have no problem adapting to the different ways that families prefer to do things (as long as it is safe for everyone!). I live between Pulaski and Cecil, and prefer to keep my commute to 40 minutes or less (the closer the better!). At this time I do not wish to work for an agency, I much prefer the flexibility of being self employed and directly billing to Forward Health! I will be looking for 3-4 weekdays​/​week with some flexibility as to which days. Start date will the TBD while awaiting the scheduled procedure​/​hospitalization of my current client but will hopefully get that information soon.
