Help us bring Leora home! (Seeking RN/LVNs). P/T or F/T
##We are looking for amazing nurses (RNs or LVNs) to help us bring Leora home from the hospital for the very first time! **Leora is a sweet 2.5 year old (turning 3 in April). And due to several severe heart defects, she has been hospitalized since birth. There is truly no dimming Leora's light. She is just full of smiles & joy. Her journey has been relentless, but somehow, she just keeps smiling at the end. I have never seen a child smile so much. She just adores the attention from both family & the hospital staff.** https://youtu.be/2og-6nSm5tI?si=lRD8wU1oY1YG0IJS ##About Our Journey At first, we were told she would be hospitalized for a week. As many families have experienced, weeks turned into months. Then months into years. Regardless, we still held together as a family. Leora has been that source of inspired strength & perseverance. And every week during these 2.75 years revolved on finding a way to bring Leora home. Well, we’ve finally come to that point... After nearly 3 years, 3 heart surgeries & numerous medical inventions later… We can now finally bring her home. Everything has been completed. All the training, the 48 hour watch… The final piece to her getting officially released home -is finding a home nurse. ##What We Are Looking for We are looking for RNs or LVNs and are hoping to fill multiple shifts (daytime, evenings, overnight). So if you’re partial towards a certain shift, all are open! However, in order to get the official green light to go home, we would need either an Evening (4pm-11pm) or Overnight (11pm-7am) nurse THURSDAY & FRIDAY. At the minimum. **Shift timing can be flexible for the right nurse!** Multiple shifts are available & very much welcomed! ##Our Nursing Agency As far as nursing agencies, we are working with quite a few: Aveanna, Maxim, RoHealth, Always My Health. However, if you prefer a different agency, we are open to working with whichever one works best for you! ##LEORA’S MEDICAL CARES/INFO: Leora is trach & ventilator dependent. Currently on TPN through her central line. Medications through GTube. Leora has chronic respiratory failure & had multiple heart surgeries in her first year. Due to the constant state of surgeries & recovery, Leora is still working on a lot of her milestones like sitting up & moving around independently. We’d love to find a nurse who will celebrate with us once she reaches these milestones with us! Thankfully the regional center will be working with us to incorporate various therapies to help her along. This will be her first time living in a home, family environment. It’s everything I’ve wanted for her in this whole duration. And once she’s home, I can only imagine a whole different world it will be for her. Please reach out if you see yourself in our daughter’s story in bringing her home. We look forward to connecting with you!
