We employ a team of 10 private duty licensed RN​/​LPNs to work in our large, beautiful, clean and organized home to care for our 25 year old son with a severe brain injury. He is in a minimally-conscious​/​locked-in state (non-verbal) and is mostly bed​/​wheelchair bound, but is happy, healthy, and very aware of his surroundings. He loves to smile, laugh, and he can communicate via his emotions and facial expressions. Seeking a loving and engaging nurse who can interact with him and his family (mom, dad, sister, and nanny). Nurses may pick up whatever shifts are open, but there are currently only openings for SATURDAY and THURSDAY DAY SHIFTS. Shift start and end times can vary, but need to be available to work the full 12 hour shift (Day 8 AM - 8 PM and Night 8 PM - 8 AM) when we (the parents) are out of town, which is frequent. We provide PPE's, and our entire house and staff have been vaccinated. We require all staff to be fully vaccinated (including flu). Experience with quads, spinal cord or brain injury, rehab patients desirable. MUST pass a background check and be a reliable​/​dependable worker. Duties include: • Hourly medication administration, including g​/​j tube and nebulizer • Enteral tube feedings via g​/​j and pump and some oral feedings • Changing bed, diapers, laundry • Hygiene, ADLs • Range of Motion exercises, massage, and assist physical therapist with at home PT sessions • Use of overhead lift • Coordinate with private duty physician and other team nurses​/​family members​/​cleaning crew We pay $30 an hour for LPNs and $40 an hour for RNs. Shifts paid out the same day - private pay. We also give plus a $1500 signing bonus, end of the year bonuses, and bonuses to help cover liability insurance, immunizations, and training.
